Kokomo

Use cases

Staging environments use case

When a team is working on an application, typically we have frontend engineers needing to access APIs that the backend engineers are building, alongside with any data available in the databases. Kokomo can help improve team productivity when setting up staging environments.

Creating staging environments quickly

Instead of spending time, money and resources on setting up staging environments, Kokomo can be used to create ad-hoc staging environments that don't require setting up servers, CI/CD workflows, automation and data transfer.

The teams can easily expose API and database services - and also AI LLMs running locally - using Kokomo and by doing so allowing other developers to access those services immediately without having to wait for provisioning a staging environment or deploying the latest and greatest on those environments.

By reducing the time coordination needed, Kokomo can greatly accelerate the overall team productivity and allow developers to build products faster. Of course, once the team is confident that they have built the right product, only at that time they can invest time in a proper staging environment but by the time they do it, they already have a functioning application and have already accelerated time to market.
